At Roots & Rivers CIC, we are passionate about supporting children and young people aged 4ā18 who experience Emotional Based School Avoidance (EBSA). Based in Bognor Regis, we provide a trauma-informed service focused on helping young individuals navigate their emotions and challenges. Our team includes qualified child, adult, and family therapists who work together to create a safe and supportive space where children can express themselves freely. Our approach is centred not on enforcing school attendance, but on rebuilding readiness to engage with learning, ensuring every child feels secure, supported, and understood.
At Roots & Rivers, we believe that emotional well-being is the foundation for successful learning. We offer structured, small-group therapeutic workshops that give young people the tools they need to manage their feelings and anxieties effectively. Alongside this, we run parallel support programmes for parents, recognising the vital role families play in a childās development.
Safeguarding and nurturing are at the heart of everything we do. We strive to create an environment of relational safety where children can grow in confidence, build resilience, and develop the skills they need to thrive. Together, we work to support and empower those who need it most.
